Most accurate: 3.2 years = 3.198 years = 3 years and ~2/10th of 365.25 days = ~73 days = 2 months and ~11 days
As the life cycles are per definition flexible, don't bother too much about small differences. In practice 6.4 years can be as well 6 years and 2 months as 6 years and 6 months. The word 'about' (usually indicated with '~') is here really dead-right!
