In a parallel research with my own investigation, my friend Marcel Dekker (Holland) discovered a system of advanced numerology and energy dispersion based on the repetitive occurrence of the numbers 1...9 in a kind of 'octavation' system, combined with the 4 elements. In doing specific research, I fused his method with my own research into life cycles of 3.2 years and its multiples 1...9 times. Find as well a link to his site below.

Note already now the very peculiar correlation with the central period of the Youth cycle (at "B5" - between 12.8 - 16 years) the adolescence (magenta) and this of the Adult cycle (at "E5" - between 41.6 - 44.8 years) as the mid-life crisis (red)! Later explanation will show that this is no lucky coincidence but a basic law in the course of a life at work, showing itself here in a very centred position. The 3rd centred period in Elderly (at "H5" between 70.4 and 73.6 years, red-purple) is the subject of a separate study, still going on today, with remarkable spikes of heightened pass away rates, producing a "saw tooth" curve instead of the expected "gauss" curve. A future article will enlighten this subject very soon I hope.

When one wants to study a life in more detail, one starts with a Life Cycles Matrix ® diagram and the birthday of the person under study is placed on it's proper place.

Suppose, someone was born on January 1, 1970. Starting on the proper date, we draw the "Birth Line" horizontally over the whole diagram, grey dot and double grey line. Another even more important event in a life is the conception. When born on Jan. 1, one is probably conceived about 9 months earlier, in this case April 1969. This is the start of the "Conception Line", the blue dot and blue horizontal line.

After that, 2 red "helper lines" are drawn, being the "1/3rd aspect lines", respectively 1.07 year (about 1 year and 20 days) BEFORE and AFTER the birth line. These are the red horizontal lines on the example above. This means that a person in his course of a life will cross his birth line each 3.2 years. In this case at the age of 3 years and about 2.5 months later = March 1973. Again in May 1976, August 1979 and so forth. The same is true for the conception line as well. Later, when adding the filled-in events that take place in a life time, we will very often remark that the area between the conception and the birth line is host to major happenings with important meanings. But let us first stick to the basic building blocs of a life.

The above mentioned "Triad" 3 to 1 ratio plays it's influence in all imaginable aspects of a life (supposedly the origin of "The Holy Trinity" belief in several religions?).

Numerous observations in the field showed that each cycle has very distinct characteristics.

The 1st cycle (green on the following chart): represents an energy or tendency of "starting, activating, covering new ground, exploring new horizons". A person in this stage is active, curious, expansive, scooping up, go-for-it, more extravert and usually rather busy. He wants to know and to concur new ground or possibilities. This stage could be compared in some way with the "Cardinal" type and "Personal" direction in Astrology.

The 2nd cycle (yellow on the chart): represents a more conflicting phase of "integrating, relating to inner contents, solving opposites, finalising the learning process". In this stage, a person is focused more on his or her inner state of mind, more introvert and emotional, exploring boundaries, solving inner conflicts between the individual and the outer world, establishing a sound inner structure for the next cycle to come. In this cycle, the relation between the world and the ego has to be set anew. This stage could be loosely compared with the "Fixed" stage and "Interpersonal" direction in Astrology.

The 3rd cycle (blue on the chart): forms the "realisation" phase. The person becomes again rather active and extravert, bringing his experience or knowledge out or available to his surrounding world. The 3rd cycle is an outwardly oriented phase where the person explores his value for other people, goes for the self-realisation on a higher plan, transcends and is again very active. This 3rd stage has some common characteristics with the "Mutable" stage and "Interpersonal" direction in Astrology.

This 3rd cycle has however a very explicit extra characteristic, distinctly different from the previous 2 cycles. Nine months before the end of the 3rd cycle, the person crosses again his conception line (blue), starting a new mini-phase of "being conceived, being in the womb again". The last part of this third cycle (purple adjacent to blue on the chart) is very peculiar, distinctly introvert again as if the person experiences a last inner struggle before finally breaking loose from his "womb".He will experience a major "rebirth point" after 9.6, 19.2 and 28.8 years, finalising the over-cycle in a "grand finale" at the birth line. In this peculiar stage, a lot of contacts with the father or manhood in general are usually experienced (specially at age of 28.8 years), in contrast with the original close, symbiotic contact with the mother during the real pregnancy.

You'll make the remark that a person crosses his conception line every 3.2 years, causing every 3.2 cycle a "pregnancy" period (indicated on the diagram with small purple sections). Observations in the field however showed that only the rehearsals after 9.6, after 19.2 and certainly after 28.8 years are the most prominent ones. But indeed, it plays a role in every 3.2 cycle… (yes I can hear you… oh my!…how complicated!!).

Those 3 energies, intertwined with one "rehearsal" of the pregnancy stage create in the whole of a 9.6 cycle (= almost a decade) a sequence of "+" for 3.2 years, "-" for another 3.2 years, "+" again for about 2.5 year and "-" for about the last 9 months. I tried to make this visual with the adjacent diagram, having only a symbolic meaning, not to take literally.

Don't expect these 3 energies jumping in the eye. It is more of a deeper, embedded underneath sort of presence, an attitude, a platform or a drive. But as a lot of human processes are steered deep from within the sub-conscious mind and the archetypal roots, these basic flows have nevertheless an important impact on final developments of actual life events.

Think of these fundamental, deep rooted energies as a field that was properly fertilised today. The plants will react to it only after a few months time, showing themselves in abundant life power (hopefully). When circumstances are negative, a plant will not die, but show retarded growth and less fruit after this detrimental period.

The 4th cycle is again a starting cycle (green) and the whole thing repeats itself till arriving at the 9th cycle, after which the complete sequel of 1 to 9 is again repeated for the 2nd and the 3rd time in the Adult and Elderly life block (each 28.8 y), covering in this way a complete human life, neatly subdivided in a triad in a triad in a triad.

As a matter of fact, all this work with life cycles is deeply interwoven with life but at the same time barely visible for the untrained eye, this is the reason why it took so long to get discovered and proven. It's also the reason why it is rather difficult to grasp and digest at first occasion. It stayed invisible as the right tool wasn't available in the past. Now, we have this in the form of the Life Cycles Matrix ® diagram and it became possible to do a detailed study of a human life, together with some forecasting and trends analysis, very useful in therapy, life coaching and career development.

For the novice, I hear time and again how it seems horrendously difficult but once you get the key structure, the basics of it… the system becomes very transparent (for the few who dig through)! Remember, studying time takes time!

The filling-in of the chart with happened life events of all kind is the subject of a separate article (#2), together with a few practical real-life examples.

Let's again concentrate on the triad 3 in 1 system. I repeated here the largest part of the 1st diagram again to make it all clear and conveniently arranged (with the "Transcendence" greyed-out area in the earlier chart omitted).

This sequence AND combination at the same time of starting, integrating and realising forms the major "ballet" in the life of a person, while the 3 energies can forge or "brew" a cocktail of characteristic, explaining a lot of real-life happenings. You see on the diagram that the cycles of 3.2 years are numbered "1 to 9" to restart after "9" with a "1" (the "10" being omitted). In this model, the 1, 4 and 7 are all starting cycles (green), the 2, 5 and 8 all integrating (yellow) and 3, 6 and 9 realising ones (blue). But on the grander playfield of the 28.8 cycles, the smaller 1,2 and 3 cycles form together a bigger starting over-cycle of 9.6 years at "A", "D" or "G" in a broader perspective (green again). The same with the other over-cycles "B" and "C" together with their colleague's in adjacent life blocks of 28.8 years.

Some practical examples:

• The cycle "B5" (see diagram above) between 12.8 and 16 years, being the middle of over-cycle "B" is 2 times "middle cycle" or integrative and forces an extra inward twist against the outward attitude and causes conflicting energy in a life. And what is adolescence otherwise!
• Even more peculiar, the period "E5" between 41.6 and 44.8, again a "5" is also the middle of the Adult life block and at the same time the middle of the whole life, so it is 3 times a "middle cycle" and integrative. Very understandable that this is called the mid-life crisis, a truly confusing, contradictive, difficult phase in the course of a life.
• The well-known crisis point at the famous age of 50 in "F7" is a sort of major "re-starting and realising wish". The person is (or should be) rather active in suddenly realising in becoming "old", having the feeling not to have accomplished enough, maybe falls in love with a 20 year younger woman and in general, does a lot of erratic things. This start of his finalising cycle of the Adulthood, between 48 and 57.6 has one part "beginning energy", one part "realising energy" and one part "integrative energy", causing an inner conflicting feeling, especially with people who have lived rather balanced, routine lives before. The 3 energies are at work and cause a lot of disturbances. It is as if he "awakes" again, showing a lot of vain to accomplish his old dreams.
• The same "cocktail" as above is at work in a different but look-alike mixture of those 3 energies in the "C8" phase between 22.4 and 25.8. It forms sort of "young adult crisis period" where the young adult is confronted with the first important set backs, conflicts, youth dreams that don't become reality, forcing him or her to adjust the self image rather dramatically. In this period of life, very often people seek the help of a therapist in a peculiar, very narrow "therapy start spike" at 25 years (future article about research 250 people).
• Another example of the same "cocktail" is the period between 16 and 19.2 at "B6", another very active, striving and at the same time blocking period of time, host to the famous "19 years spike" in youth suicide. This spike is experienced in the second major 9.6 y rehearsal of pregnancy, around the 19th anniversary, but this time the person chooses for death instead of life.
• Older people tend to pass away with a marked climax at "H5" and "H6". This looks obvious but an ongoing study about pass away data shows at higher age a "saw tooth" line (future article about research 750 people).

You see that simply working with these 3.2 years cycles in the over-cycles of 9.6 and the longer 28.8 life blocks in this Triad Time System form a fruitful ground to learn the structure of yours and others lives and biographies, even without filling-in any personal events and happenings on the chart, the ultimate purpose it was made for.

Each "Triad decade" of 9.6 years has at the same time also a very distinct character, forming the subject for a future article as well.

This system brings order into chaos as one of my readers (Christiane) put it.
